THE TOP 10 chief legal officers in the GC South compensation survey-published in the Daily Report on Nov. 19 and available online at DailyReportOnline.com-had total pay packages for 2007 ranging from $2.4 million to $7.5 million.
That doesn’t mean they were the highest paid GCs in the 11 Southeastern states surveyed, just the highest paid who were named in their companies’ Securities and Exchange Commission filings for the top five executive paychecks. In any case, the numbers were impressive enough to warrant a look at the people behind the paychecks.
