BIRMINGHAM, Ala. AP – A leading U.S. criminal defense lawyer and a key figure in the case that ousted Alabama’s Ten Commandments judge in 2003 had his law license suspended over a complaint filed by a fellow lawyer.
Stephen Glassroth’s legal career was derailed by a complaint to the state bar by Dana Jill Simpson, who gained wide notice last year when she made explosive claims about the prosecution of former Gov. Don Siegelman. She has also described herself as a supporter of ousted Supreme Court Chief Justice Roy Moore, a fellow Republican.
