Football fans attending any of the upcoming college bowl games may see more quick moves in the parking lot than on the field as security guards hired by irate owners of sports trademarks chase down peddlers of knockoff merchandise.

Attorneys for college and professional football teams say preparations for championship games include getting court orders allowing seizure of counterfeit merchandise and training staff to distinguish trademark items from knockoffs.
