ATLANTA AP – The Georgia Public Service Commission says a five-year experimental program approved for Atlanta Gas Light Company can attract new business to the state while increasing efficiency for use of natural gas, helping the environment.

The Sustainable Environmental Economic Development, or SEED, program approved Tuesday allows the gas company to invest in capital projects and is available to customers who can show significant economic and environmental benefits. The PSC says that with little initial outlay, customers can pay back costs over the life of a project.
