Holland & Knight named Robert S. Highsmith Jr. executive partner of its Atlanta office, effective last week. Highsmith succeeds partner Alfred B. Adams III.

Highsmith, 38, said he wants to focus on continuing the Atlanta office’s history of producing leaders, including state Court of Appeals Judge Sara L. Doyle, Fulton County State Court Judge Susan E. Edlein and partner M. Kasim Reed, a contender in the November Atlanta mayoral race.
