We asked some Georgia lawyers-and a few high-profile spoilers from out-of-town, too-to give us their vote for trial of the century. If you think of a trial they’ve missed, e-mail me at [email protected].
“I’m 54 years old. I can’t talk about the famous trials from years ago, so it’s got to be something in my lifetime or something I can remember to get my vote. The only one that I think even comes close is the O.J. Simpson trial. … The nation was mesmerized by it. I’m not sure how important it was … but it sure got a lot of media attention. It had everything: celebrity, race, multiple murders. Televising it was a huge mistake, but that’s California for you.”
