Alston & Bird’s revenue rose by 6.6 percent in 2008, to $553.3 million. That was about half the rate of revenue growth reported in 2007, 12.1 percent.

The slower revenue growth-the first time Alston’s revenue growth has dropped into the single digits in at least five years-reflected “a slowdown in the level of work generally in the second half of the year,” said managing partner Richard R. Hays.
