HARTFORD, Conn. AP – Connecticut officials settled a lawsuit for $4.6 million against three companies they say botched the widening of a 3.5-mile stretch of Interstate 84 between Cheshire and Waterbury, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal said Thursday.

The settlement is with now-defunct New Haven contractor L.G. DeFelice Inc., the Maguire Group of New Britain and Woodbridge-based FDR Construction, as well as 15 people who worked for the companies, he said.
