MIAMI AP – With tens of billions of dollars lost annually to Medicare fraud, federal officials are beefing up strike forces in key cities around the country, including Miami, Los Angeles, Detroit and Houston.
Attorney General Eric Holder and Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in Washington on Wednesday the new interagency effort will increase manpower in those cities and train providers on Medicare compliance to prevent fraud.
