Corporate attorney Stanley H. Smith Jr., 60, has rich memories and experiences from golf, many of them shared with his late grandfather.
Samuel H. Smith was one of the first members at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. He played golf there for six decades and was known as one of the best putters at the club. He putted with a hickory-shaft “Calamity Jane,” a replica of the same putter used by Atlanta golfing icon Bobby Jones, also a former East Lake member.
