An Atlanta-area abortion clinic has attempted to turn the table on a Hall County teenager who sued the clinic alleging it violated state laws when it performed an abortion for her.

Northside Women’s Clinic last week filed counterclaims against the teenager, Renee Wymer, saying she engaged in deceit, misrepresentation and fraud by identifying her boyfriend’s mother as her own mother in order to satisfy the state law that requires clinics to notify a parent or guardian of a minor who wants an abortion. Wymer and her mother are suing the clinic, alleging it violated the state’s parental notification law and Woman’s Right to Know law because it didn’t notify her real mother. The clinic also seeks to dismiss the teen’s claim of wrongful death of the fetus, although the teen’s attorneys dispute whether a wrongful death claim was made.
