SAVANNAH, Ga. AP – A Savannah police detective says a soldier charged with killing an Army buddy was being kicked out of the military and may have committed the crime to steal the victim’s car and identity.
New details about the July 2 slaying of Spc. Necco NEE-koe McCraw emerged Wednesday during a preliminary hearing in Recorders Court. A soldier in McCraw’s unit, Pvt. Sylvester Denmark Horton, has been charged with murder.
