PAUL, HASTINGS, Janofsky & Walker announced Wednesday that it will raise associate salaries by $15,000 across the board in its Atlanta office, retroactive to Feb. 1. That brings pay for first-year associates to $130,000, said Cindy J. Davis, the head of attorney development for the firm’s Atlanta office. “We are committed to staying at the top of the market,” she said.
Late Wednesday Morris, Manning & Martin said it too would raise pay $15,000 for all associates, effective March 1. The pay bumps follow announcements earlier this week that Jones Day, King & Spalding and Alston & Bird will raise associate salaries in Atlanta. Jones Day is now paying first-years $135,000 and King & Spalding and Alston are paying them $130,000.
