Heeding a steady drumbeat of concern about a skyrocketing caseload unlikely to decrease as two wars continue, Congress is moving toward providing help to the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans’ Claims.
The Senate recently passed, by unanimous consent, an omnibus veterans’ benefits measure that includes provisions increasing temporarily the number of judges on the court from seven to nine and eliminating the limit on the number of days per year a retired CAVC judge may serve.
