State senators irked by Superior Court judges who have not voluntarily taken furloughs matching those required of all state employees say they are exploring removing judicial positions from court circuits.
State Sen. Preston W. Smith, R-Rome, proposed the idea to Hall County Superior Court Judge Kathlene F. Gosselin, who was representing the Council of Superior Court Judges during a budget meeting Wednesday.
