STATE LAWMAKERS and lobbyists who work on legal issues will be scrambling this week to pass or kill certain measures, as the Georgia Legislature is scheduled to adjourn for the year on Friday.

Among the issues still to be decided: budget cuts to several courts and offices in the judicial branch; a proposal to allow graduates of unaccredited law schools take the state bar exam; a pay raise for state judges; and a major change in state tort laws.
