TWO SUTHERLAND Asbill& Brennan partners are working as patent counsel to Coca-Cola Co. on new low-calorie and zero-calorie beverage sweeteners the soft drink giant is developing.
Peter G. Pappas, head of the firm’s intellectual property practice group, said he is lead attorney on the project. Daniel J. Warren is Sutherland’s relationship partner for Coke. Pappas and Warren have advised Coke since they joined Sutherland in 2000. They are working on the sweetener patent applications with in-house Coke attorney Hoang Vo.
