MIAMI AP – A judge refused Tuesday to seal transcripts and close court proceedings related to accounting firm BDO Seidman’s finances in its dispute with a Portuguese bank over the firm’s inability to uncover fraud at a financial services company.
BDO Seidman attorney Adam Cole had argued the firm has the right to privacy and protect its tax returns, financial statements and ledgers from public disclosure in the phase of the trial to decide the amount of punitive damages to be paid to the bank, Banco Espirito Santo.
