Long at the top of his game as a lawyer, Walter W. Driver Jr. is wrapping up two years as the head of the United States Golf Association, golf’s prestigious rulemaking body.

Driver became president of the USGA in February 2006, shortly after leaving King & Spalding, where he had been chairman for six years. He is now chairman of Goldman Sach’s Southeastern region.
