A triple-whammy of higher rental fees, the addition of more space and the Legislature’s removal of funds from its budget has the Georgia Court of Appeals scrambling for money.
On Friday, Chief Judge Anne Elizabeth Barnes asked a joint state House-Senate committee to approve an infusion of about $400,000 to address a budget shortfall. Without the money the court will be forced to make adjustments to its payroll, she said.
