Local intellectual property lawyers continue to play musical chairs. Just as Mark A. Murphy was joining Merchant & Gould from Needle & Rosenberg to work on chemical and pharma matters, four of Merchant & Gould’s partners were leaving for Duane Morris to do the same thing.

Duane Morris, a general practice firm, gained two patent prosecutors and two patent litigators-all partners-from IP boutique Merchant & Gould two weeks ago. The prosecutors are Jeffery B. Arnold and Joseph M. Bennett-Paris, and the litigators are S. Luke Anderson and William A. Capp. All four are registered patent attorneys.
