The president of the Council of Superior Court Judges is taking issue with a study commissioned by Gov. Sonny Perdue that could pour cold water on a push to raise pay for Georgia’s judges.

The study by New York employee-benefits consulting firm Mercer LLC said that Georgia’s trial court judges are paid competitively when compared to attorneys with at least 12 years of experience working for in-house legal departments in Atlanta and national markets.
