The timing last Wednesday wasn’t the best for UPS General Counsel Teri P. McClure to give the keynote speech at the Leadership Institute for Women of Color Attorneys in Law & Business Inc. at downtown Atlanta’s Ritz-Carlton.
“I don’t have time to be here. I’ve got a proxy to file. My CEO is saying, ‘Where is she’” McClure told a crowded ballroom, scoring a big laugh by adding, “She had to run out for lunch.”
