A group of disgruntled shareholders of North Fulton’s Alpha Bank & Trust have launched a legal battle to take control of the financially struggling bank’s board of directors.

The battle lines are being drawn after the Alpharetta-based bank ousted its CEO in February amid financial turmoil at the bank, according to the shareholders’ court documents. Alpha Bank has been hit hard by national and regional slowdowns in the housing market.
