Editor’s Note: The Atlanta Bar Association recently honored one of the most distinguished careers in Georgia law when it bestowed its Leadership Award on Griffin B. Bell. The former U.S. attorney general’s career highlights are well known-5th Circuit judge, AG, adviser to presidents-but he’s also known for what a biographer calls his “uncommon sense.”
