The Atlanta Legal Aid Society has announced that because of the economic crisis, it will not raise contribution rates for its annual campaign next year, as originally planned.

For the same reason, this year’s campaign chairman, William H. Kitchens of Arnall Golden Gregory, has volunteered to lead the campaign again in 2009-the first chairman in 25 years to serve a second year. “Once you start working for Steve Gottlieb, you never stop working for Steve Gottlieb,” said Kitchens, referring to the group’s longtime executive director.
