THERE ARE myriad ways a law firm can deploy attorneys to assist clients on international transactions. Thomas J. Harrold Jr. of Miller & Martin, which has attorneys only in Atlanta and Tennessee, thinks his firm’s way is best.

Atlanta-based Harrold got to know Niels Kornerup, a partner at a major law firm in Denmark, through executive meetings of the World Law Group, a coalition of 48 firms from around the globe. Harrold and Kornerup’s families became friendly and vacationed together in the south of France. That relationship came in handy for Kornerup when a dispute arose between a client and Georgia-Pacific Corp.
