CITY DEVELOPMENT officials expect that $30 million, or 15 percent of up to $200 million in bonds approved this week by the Atlanta City Council for the BeltLine project, will go toward encouraging the construction of housing for low-to-moderate income residents.
Tina Arbes, director of special projects with the Atlanta Development Authority, said affordable workforce housing will go in many spots along the BeltLine, a 22-mile ring of railroads, paths and parks proposed to be built over 25 years.
