The senior partner at Morris, Manning & Martin finds the trip “strangely relaxing” as he cruises the desolate section of Interstate 16 between Macon and Savannah. Sometimes, on weekend visits, he’ll stay over until very early Monday morning and make the drive straight back to the office.
