THE STATE’S JUDICIAL NOMINATING COMMITTEE has submitted its slate of candidates for six open judicial seats to Gov. Sonny Perdue.

Five of the posts were created during the last legislative session and four of those are for judgeships on the superior courts of the Blue Ridge, Coweta, Houston and Paulding judicial circuits. The fifth is for a seat on Gwinnett State Court. A sixth judicial seat, on the Toombs County State Court bench, is vacant because Malcolm F. Bryant Jr. resigned.
