AN INDEPENDENT political committee formed to oppose the re-election of Presiding Justice Carol W. Hunstein has raised more than $256,000 and expects to raise a lot more.
The Safety & Prosperity Coalition has a fundraising target of between $1.5 million and $2 million, said H. Eric Dial, the group’s chairman. “It could be more,” Dial said. “We’re having a lot of good conversations. The business, insurance and medical industries and individual communities are all really concerned about this.”
