NO MATTER WHO wins this year’s election for Georgia Attorney General, incumbent Thurbert E. Baker or Republican challenger Perry J. McGuire, either man could face a tide of retirements by staff lawyers with decades of experience.
There are eight staff attorneys in the state Law Department who have at least 30 years of experience. Many of those lawyers are section chiefs, including the heads of the criminal justice division and the government services division.
