THE PARTICULARS of a suit filed recently in Fulton County Superior Court might seem oddly familiar to veteran TV viewers. The defendant, Jerry Rushing, is a former moonshine-runner, stunt-car driver and occasional character actor who now runs a hunting camp in the hills around Taylorsville, N.C.
Rushing is the real-life model for Bo Duke, the hard-riding country boy who sprang to life on the small screen and later on the big screen as half of the Duke Boys, those good ol’ boys who churned up the dust of ’80s television in their rebel-flag-emblazoned ’69 Dodge Charger.
