KING & SPALDING is the latest U.S. law firm planning to open an office in Dubai, the booming city on the Persian Gulf.
Pending approval from its partners, King & Spalding plans to open the office next month with between eight and 10 lawyers, said Houston-based partner Philip R. Weems, who will be the Dubai office managing partner. King & Spalding’s focus in Dubai will be on Islamic finance, private equity and energy law.
