A LAWSUIT that could cost accounting giant PriceWaterhouseCoopers $400 million and its license to do business in Georgia sprang from a business opportunity.
Testimony revealed this month that when Cobb County entrepreneur Stiles A. Kellett Jr. first read about a Massachusetts-based nursing home firm called the Mariner Health Group, he signaled his enthusiasm for the company’s profit potential by penciling “Blast off” in the margin of the report.
