ATLANTA’S MCKENNA LONG & ALDRIDGE has acquired the politically connected six-lawyer New York firm at which Gov. George E. Pataki was once a partner.
Plunkett & Jaffe, where Pataki was a partner from 1974 to 1987, will become the New York arm of 400-lawyer McKenna Long, which will gain offices in Manhattan and Albany. The Plunkett & Jaffe lawyers William F. Plunkett, John S. Harris, Kelly M. Lamendola, Kathleen P. O’Connor, and William M. Mooney will all join McKenna Long’s government affairs group, as will Plunkett’s son Timothy, whose admission to the bar is pending.
