ROBERT J. MIDDLETON and W. Bradley Carver have joined Hall, Booth, Smith & Slover and will lead its regulatory and utilities as well as its government affairs practices.

Middleton, who joins the Albany office, was already sharing office space with firm member and state Sen. Michael Meyer von Bremen, a high school classmate. He has served as special counsel to the firm since 2002 while running his own solo practice. Carver joins the firm from Miller & Martin, where he was a senior associate. Both join as of counsel.
