MIAMI AP – A federal judge in Jose Padilla’s terrorism support case decided Monday not to take action against CBS over the network’s attempt to install its own telephone line in a press room at the courthouse.
U.S. District Judge Marcia Cooke, however, said if CBS violates any other press rules she will ban the network from covering the trial of Padilla and two co-defendants. Jury selection is nearly complete, with opening statements scheduled to begin May 14.
