THIS YEAR THERE ARE 17 firms with Atlanta offices on the AmLaw 100 list of the top-grossing law firms in the United States-one fewer than last year. Cozen O’Connor, which was in the 99th spot in 2005, dropped off the list in 2006.

Last year Atlanta gained three new AmLaw 100 firms: DLA Piper and Fish & Richardson opened Atlanta offices and Sutherland Asbill & Brennan vaulted into the top 100. But no additional AmLaw 100 firms have come to town since DLA Piper and Fish & Richardson arrived here early last year.
