ATLANTA AP – A judge warned Friday that he may have to suspend the trial of a man accused of killing four people in a shooting spree that began inside a courthouse unless more money is made available for the suspect’s defense.

Jury selection in Brian Nichols’ murder trial began Jan. 11, and since then lawyers in the case have been poring through questionnaires filled out by hundreds of potential jurors. Opening statements are not expected until April or May.
