ATLANTA AP – An ethics complaint filed against Gov. Sonny Perdue’s lawyer has been amended to argue that House Speaker Glenn Richardson must recuse himself from the review process because of comments he has made supporting the state lawmaker accused of misconduct.
Edward Chapman, the former state Democratic Party researcher who filed the complaint, also said Monday that recent remarks in the media by Richardson and state Senate president pro-tem Eric Johnson might have “a chilling effect” on the ethics process.
