The Birmingham, Ala.-based Southeast regional firm had a strong finish in 2010, exceeding its revenue budget, said W. Lee Thuston, managing partner. He predicted bankruptcy and labor practices will be the hot areas for 2011. As state and local budgets are slashed, especially in the public sector, the employment side of things will continue to have unrest in most areas, Thuston said. Employment litigation will see an uptick due to job terminations and diminished benefits for employees.
