Last year was a solid one for the firm, a sentiment echoed by its managing partner Stephen M. Forte. The firm maintained its size, posting revenue numbers just north of flat but netting healthy increases in partner profit. “We adapted to the so-called new normal in terms of watching the expense side,” said Forte. He cited as a key deal the Atlanta office’s representation of AirTran in its sale to Southwest Airlines Co., and he said litigators in the firm’s Jacksonville office were kept busy defending Philip Morris in its ongoing tobacco litigation.
