Louise M. Wells, former head of the firm’s residential real estate-closing practice group, assumed leadership of the firm in January. Wells attributed the firm’s 11 percent revenue dip to the poor economy. No big clients were lost, she said, but the firm’s client base held off on doing deals in order to preserve capital.
