Wayne H. Shortridgewho in 2004 came out of a brief retirement from Paul Hastings to open the Atlanta office for the Tampa, Fla.-based firmre-retired at the end of 2011 at the age of 73. David M. Leonard, who joined in 2008 from Locke Lord, is the new local leader. Leonard’s practice focuses on evaluating complex claims for insurance companies and advising them in coverage disputes. When Shortridge opened the firm eight years ago, he said he would only run the office for its first two or three years. However, the economy took a dive, making his exit inopportune until now.
