Smith Gambrell held its ground, ending last year with flat revenue and profits, following big drops in both the prior year. The New York office, which opened at the beginning of the year, grew to 17 lawyers. Managing partner Stephen M. Forte said the office has brought in new business and clients. The office was opened to expand the firm’s aviation and international practices and also has picked up litigation, restructuring and bankruptcy work, Forte said.
