The Atlanta office of McGuireWoods, which opened in 1998, expanded last year and moved its Midtown offices across the street from the Proscenium to the Promenade II building at Peachtree and 15th. The firm now occupies two floors of the 40-story building, with options to build out additional space as the firm continues to grow. “We increased our lawyer headcount in Atlanta 12.5 percent last year,” said local managing partner William B. Marianes. Practice areas ripe for growth, he said, include corporate, mergers and acquisitions, finance, health care, intellectual property litigation, complex commercial litigation and labor and employment.
