A Fulton County jury has awarded $1.2 million to a man who was knocked down by a tanker-truck’s trailer when it rolled onto the curb as he worked near a main road in Douglasville.
The man’s lawyer, Goldstein & Hayes partner James Goldstein, said the defense’s highest offer to settle was a $750,000 bid made while the jury was deliberating. The May 24 verdict came after a three-day trial before Fulton County State Court Judge Susan Edlein.
