Florida’s governor is asking a state law enforcement agency to consider investigating three Florida Supreme Court justices, and an Atlanta-based conservative legal group has begun its own investigation.
The Southeastern Legal Foundation has submitted open records requests to Florida high court Justices R. Fred Lewis, Barbara Pariente and Peggy Quince as well as the chief justice and secretary of state in an attempt to determine whether the justices illegally raised campaign funds.
