A committee emerging to help law firms manage network security expects to deliver its first set of guidelines by October, officials of the International Legal Technology Association (ILTA) Peer Group for Server Operations and Security said Thursday.

ILTA began building the group, LegalSEC, in spring of this year. The group’s goals are to create awareness of security topics, publish white papers for policies and procedures, and form a knowledge resource center, said Robert DuBois, who serves as liaison between LegalSEC and the ILTA board of directors.
